The Pilot FriXion Erasable Rollerball Pen is equipped with a special gel ink that reacts instantly to changes in temperature. When the pen is rubbed quickly against its industrial-strength elastomer tip, friction generates heat above 60 C, making the ink’s color pigments completely transparent
Effortless document erasing: Unlike rubber erasers, which tear the top layer of paper fibers into tiny fragments, the FriXion system removes ink through heat-induced liquefaction without making a mess. This leaves the document surface completely dust-free and ready for rewriting
The erasing process is easily reversible. Since the handwriting disappears due to high temperatures (e.g. if the document is left in a hot car), cooling the paper in a freezer at -10°C will result in the complete return of the color pigments
It features a highly durable, corrosion-resistant tungsten carbide ball housed in a conical steel tube tip. This combination ensures even ink distribution and lets you write a consistent, flowing line
The rollerball is available with a tip size of 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm
