It comes with a double-surface finish:
- Side A (smooth) has a natural, even surface finish called “Bristol”. Ideal for precise applications with markers, felt-tip pens and calligraphy
- Side B (rough) has a light, natural texture. The surface has the necessary “tooth” for painting with pastel, graphite and charcoal
The pulp is dyed to provide a pink shade throughout when scored or folded into ritual tiles
